BJP pressing hard the Punjab Govt. to implement hike soon

Satya Pal Jain, former MP and senior BJP leader, has urged Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal to grant approval and notify the
Sixth Pay Commission recommendations in the state without any further delay.

In a letter to Badal, Jain has said that Punjab as well as UT employees were anxiously waiting for the acceptance of these recommendations before the model code of conduct for polls comes to force.

Once the Punjab government issues a notification accepting the recommendations, it will benefit UT employees too, as Chandigarh is governed by Punjab rules.

A delegation of UT Employees Coordination Committee and Vikas Welfare Association met Jain here on Wednesday.

The employee association representatives informed Jain that recommendations of the Punjab Fifth Pay Commission are yet to be implemented and also that the UT employees have not been provided with bonus as yet.

The representatives requested Jain to urge Badal to act upon the recommendations.

Endorsing the demands, Satya Pal Jain has forwarded employees’ request to the Punjab CM to fastrack the implementation process.
