Jharkhand Pay Hike : Norms relaxed for creating payslips

The Governor's advisory council on Thursday decided to relax the norms for creating payslips of the state government employees for the month of February. It was done to extend the benefits of Sixth Pay Commission recommendations to the state employees before Holi. .

The pay revision is effective from January 2006, but as far as arrears are concerned it has been divided into two groups. Arrears from January, 2006, to March 31, 2007, would be paid in later stage whereas in current financial year, 40% of the arrears for the period April 2007 to August 2008 will to be paid. The employees would get 100 per cent arrears of the increased salary from September 2008. Understanding the complexities in calculating and preparation of individual payslips, the council relaxed the norms for producing payslips for this month.
