Likely Bank D.A. from August 2013

Increase of 29 slabs ?
Ministry of Labour and Employment Govt of India has released the All India Consumer Price Index Number(IW) Base 2001=100,for the month of May today which stood at 228 points with an increase of 2 points compared to April'13.

                      Accordingly the confirmed index numbers for the months of April and May are as follows:

         Base 2001=100      Base 1960=100

   APRIL    226                             5158.65
   May       228                              5204.31
              
                   Index number for June will be known by the end of July only and exact increase in DA for Bank Staff w.e.f.August to Oct can be arrived only after that date.However considering the present trend in rate of  inflation and price rise it can be assumed that the index figure may go up with at least one point from current level  in June and in such case there may be 29 slabs increase in DA for Bank Staff.

Mr Debashis Das has calculated a hike of 31 slabs assuming a possible 2 points increase in AICIN No. for June'13.
